Cool, classic tattoos 7 days a week at Ink Assassins.
Here’s a painting that was done by request for a friend. It was fun to do and I have some new ideas for a few future paintings or maybe a flash sheet that I’ve started sketching out. This one was based off of a Phil Sims design.

My wife took this photo of a beautiful variety of fish down in West Virginia. The array of colors is mesmerizing. Hopefully our group of young fish in our backyard pond can grow to this size as long as the great blue heron stays away!

Summertime is here and we’ve been working on further embellishing the outside of our shop. Here’s a close up of some new signs that will be up in the next week care of some talented sign painters from Pittsburgh. It’s one of 3 over sized flash pieces that are roughly 4 x 8 feet big! They’re going to look rad on the side of our building.

I’ve been working on a bunch of shirt designs lately and have a few more I need to get cracking on. Here’s a recent one for a newer Erie band called Sinking Sun.

I just finished this tank top design for my own band Smoke and Mirrors. They will be printed sometime in July.

I just got some new vinyl stickers so if anyone wants one stop by Ink Assassins or just shoot me your street address and I’ll snail mail you a few: ems@inkassassins.com

My friend Patrick has recently been getting a lot of work on his motorcycle at his friends garage. His friends grandfather was hanging out with them recently and Pat took a picture of this tattoo. He got it when he was 16 in Connecticut (he couldn’t recall the artist or shop) and he’s 82 years old now. He never had it touched up or redone in all of those years. To me the imagery still stands the test of time. You can even see some colors in the handle still. That tattoo is roughly 66 years old! It blows my mind and I’m super stoked Pat shared it with me. I look forward to coming across more true old school pieces.
