Finished this one up last night on the front of a shin.  Shitty cellphone pic but was definitely fun to do.

Given to one of my main homeboys Vic Savage for his birthday. Check out his work and get tattooed by him @ Ink Assassins.

Sent this one to the good guys at FX Tattoos. From our shop to theirs with respect.

“The more sand that has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it.”

There’s nothing more amazing than on a cold, late night of tattooing past midnight and then coming home and finding your wife had set aside some awesome leftovers.  Now that my tacos are digesting here’s some new pics for you from the past few days.

Tonight I got the privilege of punishing the inside of my friend Casey’s arm.  Casey was actually the recipient of the 11th tattoo I had ever done so luckily we’re still friends and he still let’s me tattoo him!  So that’s a good sign.  We had a blast and did a fun hourglass on him with some Sailor Jerry Swallow skull & flowers.  The roman numerals are for his birth year.  Check out his band BITER if you get a chance, he’s the one screaming.

Casey's Hourglass

Yesterday a gentlemen that I had tattooed before stopped by the shop and we went back into an old tattoo to touch up some spots that healed a little rough.  He asked if I was up for doing another one on his other arm and I of course was more than happy to.  Cool thing was that he wanted a Harley Davidson piece!  I’ve actually never done a HD tattoo yet so I was pretty excited.  I showed him some great Phil Sims designs and he really liked the HD shield with the flames coming off of it.  We put HD DDL in the banner which is an inside joke and I didn’t push for any further info on that.  Some things are better left unsaid.  While I was doing the HD tattoo my coworker Vic did a cool Starbucks tattoo on my client’s son which I thought came out really cool.  I love when a whole family can bond over getting some new tattoos.

I just realized that I never posted a pic of this keystone tattoo I did on my friend Matt. I have always had a deep love for Pennsylvania so doing tattoos like this always gets me pumped.  We’ve been piecing together Matt’s arm over the past few months.  He had a bunch of older tattoos up top from various people and we’ve been adding below those creeping towards the wrist.  We even did a small peanut butter and jelly sandwich tattoo on him the same day as this keystone but unfortunately none of my photos came out decent of that.  Our next sitting is going to consist of a milkshake tattoo and an awesome Eddie Peace skull / pistons design.  I’m looking forward to those.
